When you train at Walkabout Wellness you are greeted by friendly staff and friendly participants and no matter what your fitness level, you are welcomed into an extremely supportive group.
Flexibility to Suit YOUR Schedule
Training sessions are structured to fit into busy life schedules and minimize time restricted excuses as much as possible.
We open at 5:30am for the first training session of the day and generally finish up around 645am.
At 8:30am the studio reopens for the morning session which include a combination of open circuit style and structured traditional fitness classes. This session finishes between 9:30 and 10:30am depending on the day.
Everyone Welcome, Young and Old
Walkabout Wellness welcomes young people into the gym and from 4pm onwards teens are welcome to join the sessions. As a newcomer they are initially restricted to 4-6pm in order to have maximum trainer attention. As they become comfortable with the environment and the trainers, their access will be extended to any session they are able to or want to attend.From 4pm through until the last person finishes, there is an open circuit available and some evenings have a structured session included.
A typical “open circuit” session would include a warm up on the spin bikes and rowing machines, followed by a mixture of strength circuits and boxing.
Friday nights the session always starts at 6pm on Friday evenings. Teens Welcome!

World Class Programs and Methods
We are a licensed provider of the internationally popular LesMills BodyPump, a bar and weights class choreographed along to music. There is nothing quite like the feeling of the few days after your first BodyPump class to know that you have trained some muscles.
We use Concept2 Indoor Rowing Machines to train our bodies from the inside out with the best low impact high return exercise out there. When you train on the rower effectively, you are able to build up your fitness level without stressing out your joints, perfect for all populations.
Whether you are a cardiac patient recovering from heart surgery, an athlete looking to safely cross train to improve performance or rehabilitate from an injury, or a person starting out on a new fitness program, nothing gets you fitter faster than rowing. Add in the magic that is LesMills BodyPump and you will get quick results that are maintainable.
Friendly and Supportive
Our training programs are structured in a way that offers a friendly competitive environment. You are only ever competing against your own results, but having other people’s results to contemplate helps give perspective on what you believe you can achieve.In each week there will be recorded measureable tasks set out that all participants are expected to record a result for. These results will be posted on the website in a non- confronting manner.
These tasks run in a large rotation, so that they are repeated with enough time in between for improvements to take place.
Workouts are always structured with the end in mind of seeing improvements in key areas.
